The Falcons should change the Georgia Dome to the Thunder Dome for Quarterbacks, and Mike Nolan’s Defense is Master Blaster most weeks.  Hold your horses ATLiens, don’t crown the dirty birds yet.  If the Falcons have home field advantage in playoffs can you really trust any quarterback, including Matt Ryan, in the dome?  Let’s recap!

Week 2 Peyton Manning threw 3 picks.  One of the worse games Peyton ever had.  I was actually at that game with end zone seats expecting to learn how to attack defenses from the future hall of famer… obviously I was disappointed.
In week 4 against the Panthers it was only one interception thrown but Matt Ryan got sacked career high 7 times and Cam Newton fumbled in the 4th quarter to lose the game.  Superman like right?! Wrong more like Bizzaro, but the Falcons still only won by 3.  In week 6 the tables turned, the dome struck the Falcons.

Matt Ryan throws 3 ints to the Raiders, which was a shock to everybody.  Oakland had only won one game at the time and the birds were undefeated. The Dome still helped in a sense because Carson Palmer threw a late pick 6 to Asante Samuels to seal the game for the Falcon.  Once again the Falcons won by 3.
In week 9 the Falcons faced another team with a losing record the cowboys. Even though there weren’t any turnovers, it was the only time this season Matt Ryan hasn’t thrown a touchdown. And of course Tony Romo plays bad everywhere so we can’t claim that.  Or can we? Falcons win by six.
When the Falcons played the Cardinals in week 11, I know the world was thinking, “How did Arizona lose this game?”  When your quarterback (Matt Ryan) throws 5 interceptions it’s a no brainer, but once the Cardinals made a Qb switch to a rookie, Ryan Lindley, who struggled (9-20/64yds, and sacked 3 times) and wasn’t ready for the moment.  Falcons only win by 4.
Week 14 aka The Phoenix Rebirth of the Falcons.  Drew Brees went 28 for 50 with 5 ints and his streak of 54 games with at least one passing touchdown was broken.  Now you would think it would be a blow out but the Falcons decided to have more of a balance offense and run the ball more so they only won by 10.
The next home game the Falcons face the champs and we all know how the Giants play late in the season. The Falcons haven’t been tested by a “Good” team all year; let’s see if they RISE UP! to the occasion.  As far as the playoffs I think the Falcons are Georgia Domed to fail. If Matt Ryan throws interceptions in the postseason a good team will capitalize.  If they go to the Super Bowl I have every right to join the bandwagon just because I live here.
